About the role
Axon Records is a cloud-based records management system that modernizes how law enforcement agencies capture, manage, and access data. The International Squad is a full stack team focused on the internationalization and localization of features, expanding the adoption of our Records products to international customers.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, secure, high-performance software in this mission-critical space
- Lead technical projects from concept to launch, ensuring solution meets business and technical requirements
- Collaborate across teams with Product, Design, and Engineering to create solutions that delight our customers
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship for engineers in the team and across the group
- Help to define a technical vision both within our team and the greater organization
- Lead engineering architecture design reviews and provide feedback to other engineers through channels like PR reviews
- Write and review design documents, library proposals, and technical vision documents
- Define and manage roadmaps for the technical backlog
- Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes across the group to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience designing and delivering highly-available, scalable cloud-based systems
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, TypeScript/Javascript and component-based frameworks such as React.js
- Back-end experience in languages such as Go, Scala, Java or similar
- Experience working with SQL or NoSQL data stores
- (Bonus) Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tooling such as TeamCity, Jenkins
- (Bonus) Experience with an automated testing framework like Selenium, Puppeteer, or Playwright or automated API testing
Qualifications
- Comfortable building relationships across engineering teams to understand existing systems and make changes confidently and responsibly
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical partners
- Experience with cross-team collaboration and translating customer and business needs into well-scoped technical work
- Experience with automated testing frameworks like Selenium, Puppeteer, or Playwright or automated API testing
Skills
- Full stack development experience, leaning more towards the front-end
- Back-end experience in micro services and distributed systems

Pay
$148,500 - $237,600 USD
Schedule
This role is based out of our Seattle office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.
