Sr. Software Engineer - Embedded Communications (Onsite)

The Resilient Connectivity Products software teams at Collins Aerospace are dedicated to innovating cutting-edge embedded communication solutions that ensure military forces worldwide remain safe, connected, and informed. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of secure communications systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cutting-edge embedded software, networking, and communication products
• Lead efforts in complex, multi-threaded embedded software in C++ and Rust
• Leverage containerization to streamline software development
• Drive project success by directly contributing to requirements, implementation, test development, and certification
• Lead initiatives and small teams
• Guide your team, supporting cost, schedule, and technical performance

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Experience in the full software development lifecycle
• 3 years of experience with embedded software development
• 3 years of experience in C++ or C
• Experience with Rust is a plus
• Experience with Linux development environments
• Experience with Git or other version control systems
• Experience with multithreading
• Experience with networking and communications protocols
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments
