Sr. Software Engineer - Customer Facing Applied AI

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer - Customer Facing Applied AI to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will focus on building customer-facing AI capabilities that move from concept to production and help translate real client workflows into durable product features. You will partner closely with clients and internal engineering teams to design, validate, and operationalize AI solutions that are reliable, performant, and ready for scale. The position also includes hands-on work across LLM integrations, evaluation frameworks, and shared AI infrastructure to support ongoing product innovation. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $188,000 – $235,000 annually Responsibilities Build AI-powered agents and tools from concept to production Design and implement LLM integrations, including prompt engineering Define evaluation criteria and create test harnesses for AI systems Collaborate with clients to understand workflows and validate AI behavior Partner with engineering teams to generalize client-specific solutions into product features Contribute to shared AI infrastructure, including deployment pipelines Monitor and maintain production AI systems for reliability and performance Qualifications 3+ years of professional software engineering experience Proficiency in Python, the team's primary programming language Experience with LLM APIs such as Claude or GPT, including function calling Comfortable using SQL for data exploration Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Codex Demonstrated ability to build projects from concept to production Strong bias for action and iterative development Benefits Flexible work hours to accommodate client time zones Opportunity for travel to client sites, including overnight engagements Collaborative environment with direct client interaction Chance to shape new products and features in a growing team Access to cutting-edge AI technologies and tools Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
