About the role
Senior Software Engineer focusing on iOS mobile app development as part of the Digital Health Home R&D team at Medtronic. Digital Health Home specializes in telehealth, remote patient monitoring, and related platforms. You will operate in all phases and contribute to all activities of the software development process in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, team environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for the iOS platform
- Work with both native (Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java) and cross-platform (Flutter, React Native, Xamarin, etc.) frameworks
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend developers to deliver high-quality products
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize app performance
- Ensure the security, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience developing and deploying mobile applications on iOS
- Proficiency in native development languages: Swift/Objective-C for iOS, Kotlin/Java for Android
- Experience with at least one cross-platform mobile framework (Flutter, React Native, etc.)
- Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with app store submission processes for both Apple App Store and Google Play Store
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Haves
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications
- Knowledge of mobile security best practices
- Experience with Bluetooth peripheral integration
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks for mobile apps
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Knowledge of FDA and ISO design control requirements
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Pay
Salary ranges for U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) locations: $124,800.00 - $187,200.00 (USD). The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.

U.S. work authorization sponsorship (H-1B, TN, J, etc.) is offered exclusively for Principal-level roles and above. Roles below the Principal level require candidates to possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.
