Sr Software Engineer

About the role

This role is part of the lending project, specifically the collections platform replacement, within the banking or finance industry. The position requires 12+ years of experience and is based in one of the following locations: PA - Pittsburgh, OH - Cleveland, AL - Birmingham, TX - Dallas, AZ - Phoenix, with a 5-day onsite work mode. This is a contract-to-hire position.

Responsibilities

• Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
• Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
• Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems.
• Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system.
• Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures.

Daily responsibilities include developing stories and unit testing.
