Sr. Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deliver critical security features to some of the most complex customer environments in the world
• Architect, design, develop, and unit test Forescout product features to create new functionality, improve product capability and enhance customer experience
• Work with senior technical leaders and product management team to define the networking feature roadmap
• Work with QA, technical publication, support, and other teams to ensure high quality end-to-end product delivery
• Rapidly learn, evaluate, and explain emerging security technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science or related field
• 8+ years of experience delivering production-quality software
• Hands-on experience with at least two of these languages: Java, C/C++, Perl, Python, JavaScript
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) concepts
• Working knowledge of networking and authentication protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, SSH, RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X, and EAP
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying integrations with third-party APIs and identity or network infrastructure systems
• Experience delivering software distributed across customer premises or SaaS solutions
• Experience troubleshooting interoperability issues across complex enterprise environments
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to efficiently collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills
• A self-starter mindset with a strong can-do attitude and willingness to work across multiple areas when needed
