Sr Software Engineer - Android

About the role

As a Senior Android Engineer, you'll be a key member of a cross-functional team focused on creating new features for the ClassPass mobile apps. You love to build robust and user-friendly apps. You know how to separate concerns between the different layers of a mobile codebase, from the user interface components down to the model layer. You believe the best software is created through collaboration and iteration and are looking for the right opportunity—and the right team—to expand your experience. You prioritize shipping software early and often, value simplicity, and strive to eliminate unnecessary complexity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to ship features early and often.
• Provide leadership and mentorship for junior engineers through thoughtful code reviews, pairing, and technical discussions.
• Seek feedback to turn good work into great work.
• Write clear and concise technical documents.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends, and share them with the team.
• Identify process and systems improvements and take ownership of their implementation.
• Drive impact, initiate ideas, and maintain a bias for action.

Requirements

• Track record of shipping successful Android apps to the Google Play Store.
• Proven analytical abilities and a propensity for problem-solving.
• Experience working on a large modular codebase that has evolved over time and needs to be well-architected for future growth.

Skills

• Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android development.
• Flutter experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
