Sr. Software Engineer - 3D Workflows

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer - 3d Workflows to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy 3D-centric web interfaces and APIs
• Develop scalable 3D asset workflows for enterprise customers
• Work with USD structures to enable cross-tool interoperability
• Build robust distributed systems using Kubernetes and cloud tools
• Monitor and ensure optimal performance of services
• Collaborate within a multi-functional engineering team
• Engage in ongoing learning and professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field
• Experience in 3D graphics production, scalable VFX production
• Familiarity with asset interchange formats and rendering workflows such as USD, GLB, FBX
• Understanding of OpenUSD scene graph concepts including variants and references
• Experience in programming languages suited for server-based and browser-based development, like TypeScript, Go, Python, and React
• Passion for collaboration and sharing technical ideas with the team

Location: San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $208,300 – $301,600 annually
