About the role

The Catalog & Events team is responsible for the Content Catalog Service and the Events Service within Workshop Studio. These services power the creation, quality validation, event creation, and participant lifecycle management for workshops, hackathons, AWS GameDays, and self-service demos. The team is expanding the platform significantly and is transitioning Workshop Studio from an internal enablement tool to a managed sandbox engine for product experiences across AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Build AI-powered capabilities on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore such as content discovery, adaptive participant guidance, automated session summaries with lead scoring, agent-assisted authoring, and simulated participant playthroughs for content validation.
  • Design multi-tenant content management with per-partner isolation, access controls, and lifecycle tooling. Build integration APIs that let Marketplace and Builder Center provision sandbox environments on demand.
  • Evolve the auth architecture across multiple identity providers (Federate, Gandalf/Builder ID, Cognito, STS) to support partner authentication, scoped permissions for external users, and cross-tenant content sharing.
  • Lead design reviews, mentor a team of backend and frontend engineers, and produce architectural documents that shape multi-year decisions. Own production health through on-call rotations, incident response, retrospective reviews, and runbook maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 4+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Knowledge of machine learning model architecture and inference
  • 5+ years of highly scalable systems experience
