About the role
The Catalog & Events team is building the AI and platform infrastructure to transform Workshop Studio from an internal enablement tool into a managed sandbox engine powering product experiences across AWS. This role involves driving the technical direction of the Content Catalog Service and Events Service during a period of significant platform expansion.
Responsibilities
- Build AI-powered capabilities on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore such as content discovery, adaptive participant guidance, automated session summaries with lead scoring, agent-assisted authoring, and simulated participant playthroughs for content validation.
- Design multi-tenant content management with per-partner isolation, access controls, and lifecycle tooling.
- Build integration APIs that let Marketplace and Builder Center provision sandbox environments on demand.
- Evolve the auth architecture across multiple identity providers (Federate, Gandalf/Builder ID, Cognito, STS) to support partner authentication, scoped permissions for external users, and cross-tenant content sharing.
- Lead design reviews, mentor a team of backend and frontend engineers, and produce architectural documents that shape multi-year decisions.
- Own production health through on-call rotations, incident response, retrospective reviews, and runbook maintenance.
Qualifications
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 4+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Knowledge of machine learning model architecture and inference
- 5+ years of highly scalable systems experience
