Sr Software Development Engineer- Remote

About the role

The Role BeyondTrust is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer (UI) to build the user experience for the NHI Governance domain within our Pathfinder products. You will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and accessible front-end experiences — the dashboards, queues, and workflows that help customers discover, assess, and remediate non-human identities (service accounts, workload identities, secrets and keys, and AI agents) across cloud and on-premise environments. You will work closely with design, product, and backend engineers to deliver outstanding experience for our enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant, and accessible front-end features and interfaces.
• Deliver an outstanding user experience across complex, data-rich workflows and dashboards.
• Contribute to front-end architecture, component libraries, and design system alignment.
• Collaborate with design and product to translate requirements and prototypes into polished, high-quality UI.
• Partner with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs and optimize data-fetching and feedback loops.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and uphold a high-quality bar through code review.
• Champion accessibility, performance, and usability as first-class concerns.
• Mentor engineers and share front-end best practices across the team.

Requirements

• Strong front-end engineering skills with a modern JavaScript framework (Angular with TypeScript preferred; React or Vue welcome) and deep TypeScript experience.
• Solid understanding of modern front-end architecture — component design, state management, monorepos, and design systems.
• Hands-on, day-to-day experience using Claude Code (or comparable agentic AI coding tools) to deliver production-quality software.
• Experience building and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs and integrating with cloud-native back-end services.
• Experience with data visualization and dashboard frameworks (e.g., D3, Chart.js, Highcharts).
• A strong eye for detail, accessibility (WCAG), performance, and user experience.
• Familiarity with modern test strategies for front-end applications.
• Experience with cloud-hosted SaaS applications (AWS preferred).

Qualifications

• Nice To Have: Experience with embedded analytics or reporting (e.g., AWS QuickSight) and micro-frontend architectures.
• Nice To Have: Domain experience in identity security or other data-dense enterprise products.

Skills
