Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable end-to-end testing frameworks for data stores, data pipelines, services, and web front-end
  • Perform data validation automation and API load testing
  • Conduct system and data security testing
  • Use engineering skills to solve testing problems with high performance and scalability
  • Participate in engineering architecture discussions and provide testing strategies
  • Research and prototype new tools to drive architectural decisions
  • Assess and understand the flow of code and its interactions with various processes
  • Test automation builds, execution, and troubleshoot script issues
  • Architect, design, and lead our automated testing infrastructure and testing strategy to support cloud continuous integration and delivery
  • Evaluate existing automation frameworks and define clear steps and processes to improve testing procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software development with deep understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL
  • Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
  • Solid experience with CI/CD pipeline development
  • Proficient in Git and source control
  • Passion for solving complex problems and a can-do attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Burning desire to learn and continuously improve

Qualifications

  • Experience in data pipeline testing such as ETL tests, data warehouse tests, etc.
  • Experience in chaos engineering
  • Experience in BDD, Playwright, Locust, and other testing platforms

Skills

  • BS in software engineering, computer science, or related field
  • Deep understanding of programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL
  • Current understanding of system security measures
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline development
  • Proficiency in Git and source control
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Pay

The expected base salary for this role is between $110,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This role offers a hybrid work model with a business casual dress code, including jeans.
