Sr. Software Dev Engineer, Amazon CloudFront (Media & Entertainment)

About the role

Join the CloudFront Media & Entertainment team in Seattle, WA, where you'll build systems that deliver video content to millions of viewers worldwide. You'll work on innovative solutions for high-profile AWS customers, delivering large-scale live events in near real-time.

Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed, scalable systems for video delivery
• Drive technical strategy and architecture for video delivery infrastructure
• Own the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment and operations
• Explore and apply AI/ML-driven approaches to optimize video delivery and QoE
• Leverage AI-assisted development for fast prototyping and design

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Solid understanding of distributed, scalable systems
• Experience building complex software that has been successfully delivered to customers
• Thorough understanding of internet protocols such as HTTP, DNS, TCP, and UDP

$168,100.00 - $227,400.00 annually
