Sr. Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

The Asset Management Group (AMG) is seeking a Site Rel Engineer Sr to support our Run the Bank (RTB) application portfolio within the Software Reliability & Controls (SRC) organization. This role is focused on production stability, operational excellence, and risk management for mission critical systems. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in production environments, takes ownership of system stability, and can partner effectively across infrastructure, security, and application teams to reduce operational risk and improve reliability. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX. The workplace is hybrid. The anticipated application deadline is Oct 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Production Support & Monitoring: Monitor, maintain, and support systems and software to ensure high availability and production stability; monitor system health and availability, responding to incidents, alerts, and escalations as needed; act as a senior technical resource during production incidents, driving timely resolution and clear communication.
• Maintenance & Operational Execution: Perform maintenance activities such as patching, upgrades, configuration changes, and automation, with a strong understanding of production environments and dependencies; troubleshoot issues across application, infrastructure, network, and database layers; partner with internal technology teams to execute production changes safely and in accordance with change management processes.
• Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Conduct detailed root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and production issues; implement corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence; identify recurring issues and drive process improvements and automation to reduce risk and manual effort.
• Documentation & Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain documentation for supported systems and applications, including runbooks and operational procedures; ensure system knowledge is documented, current, and accessible to support continuity and resiliency.
• Risk, Governance & Compliance: Follow and support application governance, audit, and regulatory requirements; participate in business continuity, resiliency, and disaster recovery activities as required; maintain a strong focus on risk awareness and customer impact.

Required technical skills: Linux, Windows, Oracle, SQL, DNS, Automation, Ansible.

Qualifications

Preferred / Nice to Have skills: Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes, MongoDB, Advanced ServiceNow usage, Venafi / certificate management, Disaster recovery and data center failover, PING, CA7, Sterling Control Center, Azure, CyberArk, Dynatrace, F5, Ansible.

Experience level: Expert.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
