Sr. Signal Integrity and Power Integrity Engineer, Amazon Leo

About the role

The Sr. Signal Integrity and Power Integrity Engineer plays a crucial role in developing SIPI collateral supporting system integration of the latest technology. They are responsible for defining and developing Signal and Power Integrity test methodologies, participating in design reviews, performing SI and PI simulations, providing reports, collaborating with other engineers, validating designs in the lab, and ensuring a high technical bar for hardware designs across Amazon Leo.

Responsibilities

• Developing SIPI collateral supporting system integration of the latest technology
• Defining and developing Signal and Power Integrity test methodologies
• Participating in design reviews
• Performing SI and PI simulations
• Providing reports
• Collaborating with other engineers
• Validating designs in the lab
• Ensuring a high technical bar for hardware designs across Amazon Leo

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in signal integrity design and simulation of high-speed interfaces such as DDR, Ethernet, JESD, and PCIe
• Hands-on experience using EM SIPI simulation tools such as ANSYS, ADS, Hyperlynx, Sigrity, etc.
• Experience using VNAs, oscilloscopes, and high-fidelity probing techniques
• Experience participating in schematic and design reviews
• Experience with schematic and layout ECAD tools – Mentor Xpedition preferred

Qualifications

• Experience in Power Distribution Network (PDN) design, simulation, and lab validation for power integrity
• Demonstrated design innovation in complex board design
• Experience in silicon and package-level signal and power integrity analysis
