About the role

The Senior Producer, Show is responsible for overall management and leadership of the Creative team, including project documentation such as Deliverables Lists, Request for Proposal (RFP) Documents, Attraction Design Drawings, and Attraction Scope. This role involves managing project folder structures, document control, and ensuring accurate records of project correspondence and show/ride elements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Show Producers and Creative Team members, supporting the organization and submission of all project-related documentation required for third-party Intellectual Property (IP) approval.
  • Maintain a database to reflect accurate records of all pertinent project correspondence and listed show/ride elements.
  • Ensure all project team members have complete and current information on project scope, budget, schedule, procurement, and development strategies.
  • Partner with project management in the development, processing, and writing of RFP Documents to procure needed show elements for each attraction.
  • Write required scopes and manage vendors as assigned.
  • Establish, build, and maintain positive and productive team relationships based on open communication, trust, and teamwork with project partners, departments, and disciplines.
  • Communicate, inspire, and maintain project intent among all team members.
  • Act as a project liaison for internal and external partners, licensors, and intellectual property developers.
  • Facilitate organization and reporting of project team meetings, and maintain and drive action item lists with responsibilities, duties, and current status.
  • Oversee project producers to complete special assignments, managing scope and themed elements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Theatrical Arts, Theme Park Associated Design, or a related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in theatrical, theme park, or other media-related design/production fields.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Show Producer in theme park attraction projects from design through installation.
  • 8+ years of experience in theme park design and design management preferred.
  • Ability to review and understand architectural, engineering, and ride/show documentation, including specifications and blueprints.
  • Understanding of production and design terminology.

Skills

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with all business levels via phone, written communication, and in-person.
  • Proficient in PeopleSoft.
  • Strong design and production portfolio.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, bid package preparation, and vendor management.
  • Knowledge of theme park technologies, including ride, A/V, robotics, engineering, and show systems.
  • Knowledge of theme park-related architectural, project management, and production/construction practices.
  • Ability to lead staff, promote teamwork, and support staff development.
  • Solid aesthetic sensibilities and storytelling skills to support the creative process and facilitate communication between disciplines.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Demonstrates active listening and effective questioning techniques.

Pay

Salary range: $110,000–155,000 (bonus eligible).

Schedule

This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
