Sr. Service Technician, O&M (Sugarcreek, OH)

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Service Technician to join our growing O&M team. The ideal candidate has training and experience in testing and troubleshooting electrical systems, a Journeyman license, and a passion for solar energy.

Responsibilities

• Use sophisticated testing equipment to evaluate system performance, then troubleshoot and resolve poor and/or non-performing issues on previously installed solar systems
• Independently perform service work on solar systems installed by us or other solar installers
• Climb ladders, work from a roof, use hand tools, and lift up to 75 lbs.

Requirements

• Journeyman license required; Master Electrician license preferred
• Experience in solar is a plus, but not required
• Certified in or willing to obtain OSHA 10, First Aid & CPR
• Driver’s license with a clean or good driving record
• Ability to travel to jobsites and perform physical work

Skills

• Proficient with testing equipment such as meggers, PV check and IV-curve tracers, clamp-on amp meters, and digital multi-meters
• Excellent communicator and team player
• Self-motivated, humble, and hardworking

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or certificate from a trade school OR equivalent experience preferred

Pay

$34 – $45 per hour, depending on experience, and pay for travel time to and from all jobsites
