General Description / Purpose
The Sr Service Technician CDL position is responsible for providing customer service and maintenance functions to Loram customers within a specific region. Maintaining unit uptime to customer expectations is critical to customer satisfaction, railroad fuel economy, and railroad's wheel/rail life.
Essential Job Functions
- Service top of rail and gauge face lubricator units to specified guidelines.
- Perform lubrication service program for railroad customers.
- Use logic and methods to solve problems to find effective solutions.
- Understand and adhere to general railroad and Loram operating rules.
- Manage inventory held on maintenance vehicle through company processes.
- Plan work based on length and task difficulty, develop schedules, and anticipate and adjust for problems to meet objectives.
- Able to work independently.
- Process work orders and complete all necessary delivery tickets, warranty paperwork, and returns through approved company processes.
- Proactively resolve customer issues.
- Build customer and supplier relations for improved products and services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts on customer railroads and manage service and quality expectations.
- Work with Sales Department to ensure customer expectations are met.

Qualifications
- Experience: 1+ years of Field service experience with customer facing role, 2+ years working in a railroad environment, Field service, and Basic computer skills.
- Licenses/Certifications: Class A CDL License, Maintain railroad safety training and certifications, Currently holds and be able to maintain a DOT medical card.
- Education: Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical.
Prior to Employment
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination and role-specific assessments.
- Components may include DOT Physical Exam, Regulated (DOT) DS/BAT, Human Performance Evaluation (HPE), and Audiogram.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Compensation
Loram determines compensation based on factors such as skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. Certain positions may be eligible for an annual bonus and paid time off in addition to base compensation. The pay range for this position is between $50,800-$71,100.
