Sr Segment Marketing Manager

About the role

This position is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for the pharmaceutical market segment, collaborating with various internal teams, and providing leadership and guidance across regions.

Requirements

• PhD in life sciences or chemistry with 5+ years of pharmaceutical R&D experience
• Clear progression in the scientific career ladder, demonstrating strategic thinking, cross-functional influence, and deep knowledge of pharmaceutical customer workflows
• Ability to comprehend, present, and discuss scientific content at an advanced level
• Demonstrated success with a variety of marketing functions including strategic and tactical marketing, marketing communications, market research, distribution channels, competitive intelligence, and customer communications
• Strong public speaking skills needed to represent Promega at external meetings, conferences, and organizations
• Prioritization of tasks and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in digital tools and technology, including Microsoft applications and mobile platforms, with the ability to adapt and leverage emerging technologies

Qualifications

• PhD or MBA preferred
• Progression to the Associate Principal Scientist level or equivalent preferred
• In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical drug development process
• Experience working in a global organization with regional branch and/or distributor marketing and sales teams
• Experience or familiarity with sales strategies and techniques
