Sr. SDET Engineer (Playwright / RestAssured / FTE / Onsite)
About the role
We are seeking a Senior SDET Engineer to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a full-time, onsite position focused on designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies for web applications, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for web applications, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
- Lead end-to-end test management activities, including test planning, estimation, execution, defect tracking, reporting, and release validation.
- Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java, Spring Boot, RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG.
- Design automation solutions for functional, integration, regression, API, UI, and end-to-end testing to improve test coverage and release quality.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps teams to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives using Jira.
- Design and implement automated API testing solutions using RestAssured, Karate, and other modern testing frameworks.
- Integrate automated test-suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, and SonarQube.
- Leverage Azure or AWS cloud platforms to support testing activities in cloud-native and distributed environments.
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, test reports, automation architecture documents, and quality metrics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Agile development methodology and Jira.
- 5+ years of experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Test Management lifecycle.
- 6+ years of strong working knowledge of Relational Databases like Oracle, DB2, or Postgres, including PL/SQL, complex queries, views, and packages.
- 6+ years of strong experience in test automation design, development, and execution using frameworks such as RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG.
- 6+ years of strong proven experience in programming with Java/Spring Boot.
- Strong SQL skills are required; knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript is an added advantage.
- 5+ years of strong knowledge of continuous integration and deployment using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube, etc.
- Demonstrated experience with Azure/AWS cloud technologies and DevOps/CI/CD practices.
- Experience designing test strategies and test automation suites independently for new products/applications.
- Experience in Stock Plan Services/Brokerage is a plus.

Pay
The starting pay range for this role is $97,725.00 to $162,875.00. Actual compensation will depend on relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
