About the role
UST is searching for a Sr SDET who will design, develop, and own the end-to-end manual and automated tests for assigned releases.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain automation suites using Selenium (Java)/Playwright (Typescript), Appium and REST API frameworks
- Lead and coordinate testing activities for modules, owning quality gates and exit criteria
- Drive in-sprint Agile testing and represent QE in sprint planning, estimation, and risk discussions
- Actively validate user stories within sprint, ensuring early detection
- Contribute to automation stability, optimization, and best practices
- Use AI-assisted testing solutions to accelerate testing tasks (test generation, smart test selection, failure insights, self-healing concepts)
- Define and optimize functional, regression, and E2E execution strategies leveraging shared frameworks and cloud platforms
- Mentor A1/A2 engineers, review automation code, and drive QE standards, processes, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience: 3-5 years in E2E digital flow testing and automation across apps (Mobile, Web, bots) with understanding of validation checks (auth, payments, order flow)
- Programming languages: Java, C#, Python, or Typescript
- Strong hands-on experience: 2-4 years in knowledge of customer journey flows, middleware interactions, and backend integrations
- SQL knowledge (Intermediate: 2-3 years)
- Mobile automation: Appium (Intermediate: 2-3 years)
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD tools (Intermediate: 2-3 years)
- Test Grid / Tosca automation (Intermediate: 2-3 years)
- Manual testing (Expert: 2-4 years)
- SQL knowledge for transaction and user flow data
- Test management tools: JIRA, Qtest (Expert: 2-4 years)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Pay
Compensation range: $59,000–$89,000 (Hybrid role in Bellevue, Washington).
