Job Summary For this contractor assignment, seeking an IT Software Developer in Test Sr (SDET Sr.) to drive and elevate test automation for our .NET-based violations processing applications, with an immediate focus on implementing Reqnroll for scalable, maintainable automated testing. This role will establish automation patterns, expand coverage across APIs and integration workflows, and modernize legacy automation approaches. location: Telecommute job type: Contract salary: $57.85 - 67.85 per hour work hours: 9am to 4pm education: Bachelors Responsibilities Lead and implement automated testing using Reqnroll (SpecFlow-style BDD automation) for .NET services and workflows; define patterns, step-definition structure, and project conventions. Partner with developers and QA to design risk-based test scenarios, improve overall coverage, and reduce rework/retesting through shared ownership of quality. Build and maintain automation across layers (API/integration/functional), prioritizing scenarios tied to acceptance criteria and high-risk areas. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines so test results are visible, repeatable, and actionable (quality gates, reporting, and defect triage). Assess existing/legacy automation approaches and recommend a pragmatic modernization path (including migration strategy and parallel-run validation where needed). Provide regular testing/automation status updates, surface obstacles/risks early, and help define/verify exit criteria and "definition of done" for testing. Create and maintain technical documentation for automation frameworks, patterns, and onboarding. Qualifications Minimum of 7 years related work experience designing, programming and supporting software programs and applications. {OR} Completion of a technical training program and a minimum 4 years related work experience designing, programming and supporting software programs and applications. {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in an Information Technology or related field of study (e.g. Engineering, Math, Science) and a minimum 4 years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs and applications.
