About the role
The AWS Field Experience (AFX) team seeks a passionate, innovative, results‑oriented Senior Software Development Engineer to design and build services that simplify how the field team manages, maintains, and operates at scale. You will architect generative AI workflows, data pipelines, APIs, and services that empower selling and marketing teams with “superpowers” and drive strategic data for AWS.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement generative AI workflows that power intelligent automation for field sales operations
- Develop and optimize data pipelines that synchronize account data across systems (Salesforce, AWSentral, Partner Tools) at scale
- Drive technical strategy for signals architecture and entity resolution to improve account data quality and coverage
- Build APIs and services that encode operational best practices and reduce manual toil for the field organization
- Own end‑to‑end delivery of features from design through deployment, operating in an agile environment with high autonomy
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct design and code reviews, and raise the engineering bar across the team
- Participate in on‑call rotations and drive operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, and incident response
Requirements
- 5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
