Sr. Sales Support Specialist

About The Role

A TEKsystems client in Memphis, TN is seeking an experienced Customer/Sales Service Representative (CSR) to support its Telecommunication/Data (ComData) sales team in Memphis, TN. This individual will act as a key liaison between customers and sales representatives, handling order management, quote support, customer communications, and follow-up activities for contractors specializing in structured cabling, security, and low-voltage technology solutions.

This role will support three Memphis-based ComData Sales Representatives, with future support potentially extending to additional team members.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently within SAP S/4HANA.
• Handle customer communications primarily through email, with occasional phone support.
• Generate and assist with customer quotations for products and solutions.
• Perform order follow-up activities, including status updates, product availability, and customer communication.
• Manage and respond to customer inquiries in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize company's AI-driven quoting platform (Canals) to import and process bills of material and quote requests.
• Review AI-generated quotes for accuracy, pricing adjustments, and completeness before submission.
• Maintain strong relationships with both internal sales teams and external customers.
• Assist with inbound call coverage and general customer service needs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous industry knowledge in:
  • Electrical distribution
  • Low-voltage distribution
  • Structured cabling
  • Security systems distribution
  • Industrial or technology product distribution
• Experience supporting sales teams through order entry, customer service, or inside sales functions.
• Strong customer communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Experience navigating ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP or SAP S/4HANA experience.
• Experience with electrical, networking, security, structured cabling, or communications products.
• Distribution industry experience highly preferred.
• Experience working for electrical distributors, technology distributors, or similar competitors.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
