About the role
The Sales Executive, Senior CRS is responsible for global sales of all SGS services applicable to assigned channels, including but not limited to testing, inspection, and audits.
Responsibilities
- Generate and close leads and opportunities within a strategic business unit (SBU) for large global accounts, in accordance with SGS CRS sales strategies and individual targets.
- Build and maintain effective and professional relationships with key internal customers and support teams, including client services, global sales, technical, and operations.
- Execute sales and offer solutions to US-based customers for domestic opportunities within assigned channels.
- Prospect for new business by visiting potential customers.
- Develop close working relationships with SGS affiliates to fully present SGS capabilities and close sales.
- Develop and issue quotations and proposals, negotiate fees, terms, and conditions as necessary.
- Secure appropriate legal documents for client relationships, including non-disclosure agreements, service agreements, and statements of work.
- Fully qualify all sales opportunities for accounts in assigned channels.
- Develop close cooperation with the client’s service team to ensure ease and transparency of client information and requirements.
- Develop sales and marketing plans with the sales manager to ensure the achievement of targets.
- Attend industry and trade show events for lead generation and prospecting.
- Perform key sales administrative functions: prepare call reports, pre- and post-tradeshow reports, sales reports, maintain data in Customer Platform SharePoint site, and other reports/presentations as required by management.
- Work closely with business unit managers when responding to a request for proposal (RFP) to inform them of market conditions, pricing issues, and current competition.
- Make presentations to various groups within the customer’s organization when needed.
- Act as the lead person on preparing written proposals in response to customer RFPs, coordinate all information from different disciplines, and arrange the formal response.
- Maintain knowledge of the SGS Group network and services.
- Actively promote the image, capability, and integrity of SGS to the account.
- Adopt safe behavior by exercising applicable health and safety rules and regulations of SGS employees and clients, in line with SGS policies and procedures.
- Comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct at all times.
- Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background in Analytical Sciences, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of demonstrated sales success in the professional services industry.
- 2+ years of experience in the industry for the relevant business unit (CPCH, EE, HL, or SL).
- 2+ years of project/contract management experience.
- 2+ years of experience in international/multi-cultural environments.
- Direct experience in scheduling and planning.
Skills
- Language Skills: Advanced English; other language skills (French, Korean, Spanish) preferred.

Pay
The expected salary for this position is $90,000 to $120,000 per year. This range represents the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.
