Sr. Safety Specialist

Duties

• Conduct daily safety audits
• Develop site-specific safety plans
• Conduct safety meetings and trainings
• Ensure OSHA compliance and inspections
• Perform job hazard analyses
• Respond to incidents
• Collaborate with general contractor’s safety personnel

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify)
• Average or above computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• OSHA 500 Certification
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or related field, or 1-3 years of construction safety management experience
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of Safety Coordinator II skills and requirements
• At least 5 years of safety experience
• Proven ability to lead and set the right example
• Fluent in both Spanish and English
• Able to follow directions and guidance from Safety Department management
• Able to handle multiple assignments with minimal guidance
