Sr. Roadway Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and documentation of technical solutions for transportation projects.
• Bridges significant technical design expertise in all facets of roadway design such as new alignments, intersections, interchanges, sidewalks and greenways.
• Serves as a technical leader, supporting Engineering Manager and Project Manager.
• Reviews complete project designs/documents for conformity and quality.
• Leads complex technical portions of meetings with clients, customers, contractors, and others.
• Develops strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, and others.
• Mentors junior engineers and other design staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program.
• Minimum 10 years of roadway engineering experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• Extensive knowledge and expertise in CADD software.
• OpenRoads Designer experience a plus.
• Experience with TDOT policies and procedures a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).

Skills

• Strong technical design expertise in all facets of roadway design.
• Proficiency in CADD software, particularly OpenRoads Designer.
• Experience with Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) policies and procedures.
