About the role
The role involves managing a team of researchers in a cutting-edge laboratory, overseeing projects from conception to completion, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee research projects from inception to delivery, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including scientists, engineers, and administrative staff to advance research initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external funding agencies and industry partners to secure grants and partnerships.
- Train and mentor junior researchers, providing guidance on methodologies, data analysis, and career development.
- Conduct regular progress reviews and provide feedback to ensure project milestones are met.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies related to research and data management.
Requirements
- A PhD in a relevant scientific field with a minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral experience.
- Proven track record of successful grant writing and securing external funding.
- Experience in leading and mentoring a team of researchers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
