About the role

The role involves managing a team of researchers in a cutting-edge laboratory, overseeing projects from conception to completion, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee research projects from inception to delivery, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including scientists, engineers, and administrative staff to advance research initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external funding agencies and industry partners to secure grants and partnerships.
  • Train and mentor junior researchers, providing guidance on methodologies, data analysis, and career development.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and provide feedback to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies related to research and data management.

Requirements

  • A PhD in a relevant scientific field with a minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral experience.
  • Proven track record of successful grant writing and securing external funding.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team of researchers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in a specific scientific discipline.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance procedures.
  • Experience in academic or industrial settings.
