We are looking for a self-starting, responsible, mature, highly-motivated renewal sales account manager to join our rapidly expanding team in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Drive the qualification, quoting, and Salesforce processes with Accounts Managers and Regional Directors to bring renewals to a close
- Forecast daily, monthly, quarterly accurately via Salesforce and excel
- Meet or exceed customer renewal revenue quota
- Coincide with multiple resources within an account
- Establish and maintain strong business relationships at the executive level
- Proactively identify customer issues, work with the larger Proofpoint team to resolve them
- Research customer organizational structure and track information within Salesforce.com
- Gather and track information regarding named customers implementation and support activity
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint’s competitive positioning in the marketplace
- Develop customer quotes through excel, manage customer data within Salesforce.com
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint's value
- Extremely organized, detail and process oriented
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Able to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in resolving difficult issues
- Able to coordinate Proofpoint resources to execute a complex sales strategy
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and web conferencing tools
- Ability to use Salesforce.com and other online tools effectively
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 4+ years successful account management, business development or renewal sales experience
- Experience selling to IT departments, IT management and Legal is preferred
- English and Brazilian Portuguese fluency required
