Sr Reimbursement Analyst

This hybrid role offers a balanced schedule of three in-office days at Burlington or Durham, NC, and two remote workdays per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced analysis of complex payer portfolios to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Interpret payer contracts and reimbursement methodologies to ensure accurate payment application
- Develop and recommend strategies to reduce denials, non-response, and revenue leakage
- Lead initiatives to address systemic reimbursement issues and drive process improvements
- Analyze financial performance and prepare detailed reporting for leadership decision-making
- Monitor KPIs related to A/R, reimbursement trends, and payer compliance
- Serve as a key contact for escalated payer issues and support contract-related discussions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Payor Relations
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, providing training on complex scenarios and best practices
- Support automation, reporting enhancements, and process optimization efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 7 years’ healthcare revenue cycle experience, or
- Associate degree with 9 years’ healthcare revenue cycle experience, or
- HS diploma or GED with 11 years’ healthcare revenue cycle experience

- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and revenue cycle systems
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise and leadership or mentorship experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years experience with payer contracts and regulatory compliance
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare reimbursement, revenue cycle, or financial analysis
- 7+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Previous experience with data analytics
Schedule
Monday – Friday; 8:00am–5:00pm EST
