OUR HISTORY
- Founded in 1962 during a time of rapid economic expansion.
- A core group of forward-thinking experts provided consulting services for strategic planning, manufacturing and industrial engineering, and Total Quality Management (TQM) projects.
- Serving a wide range of clients, from transportation to life sciences, they formed the foundation of what is today’s Tunnell Consulting.
- Tunnell recognized a growing need for technical support and process improvement, developing Six-Sigma capabilities along with operational excellence, Lean tools, and proprietary methodologies.
- Became an ESOP when Ken Tunnell sold the company to the employees.
- Focused exclusively on the life sciences industry in 2000, applying deep industry knowledge and breadth of experience in technical, quality/compliance/regulatory, manufacturing, and operational improvement services across the entire life sciences spectrum including pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, vaccines, and medical devices.
- Entered consulting within the critical life sciences and biomedical R&D segments of the Federal Government, expanding work with the DHHS, DOD, and other federal agencies.
