Duties
- Performs repair and preventative maintenance on medical imaging equipment, ensuring safe operation and effective performance.
- Calibrates imaging and geometry systems according to manufacturer guidelines, minimizing radiation exposure.
- Uses specialized forms such as TMS, TRIAD, and in-house biomedical forms.
- Schedules and conducts in-service training for correct operation of imaging equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics
- 5-7 years of radiographic and fluoroscopic repair experience
- At least 15 years of senior-level experience supporting medical imaging equipment, including MRI, linear accelerators, catheterization labs, and all imaging systems.
- Ability to repair to the component level and demonstrate competence in full system alignment.
- Experience replacing components such as image intensifiers, x-ray tubes, photomultiplier tubes, and dose stabilization systems.
- Certified Biomedical Radiographic Service Engineer
- AAMI certifications (preferred)
