Sr. QC Technician - 1st Shift

Location: Fair Lawn, NJ - 1 Reagent Lane

Schedule

First Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Overtime as necessary)

• Standard work schedule (Mon-Fri)
• Standing for full shift

Environmental Conditions

• Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Standards
• Laboratory setting with loud noises (equipment/machinery)
• Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.

This role is part of the Quality Control team within Operations, where you will help ensure the quality and reliability of products. The position reports to the Team Leader, QC, and partners with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing and laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in alignment with GMP standards
• Collect and prepare production samples for laboratory analysis
• Conduct physical, chemical, or microbiological testing per SOPs
• Monitor production batches for compliance with specifications
• Record, analyze, and report test results accurately
• Identify out-of-specification results and notify appropriate teams
• Maintain laboratory equipment through calibration, cleaning, and routine maintenance
• Follow GMP, GLP, FDA, ISO, OSHA, and safety regulations
• Complete laboratory documentation, logs, and quality reports
• Assist with investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• 2 years of Quality Control experience (required)
• Previous experience in manufacturing, operations, production, or laboratory environment (preferred)
• Experience in a cGMP environment (preferred)

Skills

• Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment (a plus)
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and laboratory practices
• Familiarity with analytical instruments and testing methods
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Basic computer skills, including Excel and laboratory software
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work shifts and stand for extended periods

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Work in a laboratory and manufacturing environment following safety standards

Pay

Hourly pay range: $23.80 – $35.69

• Additional shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts
• Annual performance-based bonus
