Sr. QA Analyst

100% remote role based in EST. 12-month contract with potential for extension.

About the role

Quality Assurance Analyst to support a team of full-stack developers and ensure the quality and reliability of new business applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with UI/UX, API, browser, back-end, SQL, and X-Ray testing, along with the ability to create and execute comprehensive test plans and cases. Candidates should be comfortable working in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with developers and designers, and clearly communicating defects, test results, and regression issues. Experience in insurance or startup environments, mobile and accessibility testing, test automation SaaS platforms, and AI-enabled testing tools is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough testing of new business applications and features to identify defects and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with developers and other team members to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Create and execute test plans and test cases to validate functionality, performance, and security aspects of the software.
• Clearly document and communicate issues, defects, and test results to the development team.
• Work collaboratively in an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with designers and other team members to understand UI/experience requirements and specifications.
• Validate UI/experience with designs/prototypes to ensure requirements are being met.

Requirements

• Must have experience testing APIs, browsers, and validating data in the back-end.
• X-Ray testing tool experience.
• SQL testing experience.

Qualifications

A minimum of 6 years of related work experience analyzing, testing, and implementing business system changes or user acceptance testing.

OR

A Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Business or Information Technology discipline or other related field of study and a minimum of 4 years of work experience analyzing, testing, and implementing business system changes or user acceptance testing.

Preferred Skills

• QA & Insurance Experience: Strong software QA/testing experience, preferably within the insurance industry and/or a startup environment.
• Web, Mobile & Accessibility Testing: Experience testing across browsers, operating systems, devices, MacOS, iOS/Android, and email applications, with knowledge of WCAG and JAWS accessibility testing.
• Test Management & Automation: Hands-on experience with test case management tools, test automation SaaS platforms, and leveraging AI tools to support automated testing.
• Defect & Test Reporting: Proven ability to execute test plans, identify defects and regression issues, and prepare/deliver clear test results and pass/fail reports.

Pay

W2 pay rate.
