Sr. Proposal Writer, Technical, US Strategic Pursuits
About the role
Join our team focused on accelerating cloud computing adoption at the Enterprise level by facilitating relationships with U.S. Intelligence and Defense organizations. This role involves helping these organizations reinvent their IT strategy with AWS cloud computing.
Responsibilities
- Identify and write content for Request for Proposal (RFX) responses
- Craft compelling proposal narratives that synthesize existing content and new inputs from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Own proposal content development for distinct RFX sections, from ideation to final review
- Gather, organize, and synthesize information from diverse AWS stakeholders, including sales, engineering, solutions architecture, and other organizations
- Contribute to proposal solutioning and strategy development sessions, asking clarifying questions to proactively guide content development
- Curate, grow, and update our team library of approved content, driving and organizing proposal content to maximize reuse effectiveness and utility
- Review final proposal documents for editing and content completeness
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to the above responsibilities
Requirements
- Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences
- Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
Qualifications
- 2+ years of working with Core Cloud Technology Services, including, but not limited to Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, and/or Networking experience
- Master's degree in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources, or related field, or PMP certificate
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
- Experience using analytical tools for workforce metrics and reporting
Skills
Excellent writing skills, public sector proposal experience, and technical background necessary to help establish and differentiate Amazon as the leading cloud provider.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $147,900.00 - $200,100.00 USD annually.
