The role coordinates a project team from inception through completion and executes corporate planning and project management.
Responsibilities
- Act as senior representative for the Project Management Center of Excellence.
- Develop new systems, techniques, and procedures for automated planning, reporting, issue resolution, risk management, and budget tracking.
- Provide regular status information to all project stakeholders and interface with upper management.
- Review plans and schedules of other participating functions for compliance with the master schedule; resolve scheduling and inter‑functional conflicts.
- Participate in or lead daily, weekly, or monthly meetings to track and report project status, identifying deviations or adverse trends.
- Review project business cases to ensure accurate costs and internal labor are identified; obtain approval and present to governing bodies.
- Support internal department training through occasional instructional opportunities.
- Mentor, support, and develop people and processes within the Project Management Office.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass pre‑employment assessment(s) if applicable.
- Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline with 5‑8 years of relevant experience, or an MS/MA with 3‑5 years of experience; certification is required in some areas.
Work environment: primarily seated work in a comfortable indoor area with frequent opportunities to move about; occasional light lifting of articles; less than 10 % overnight travel.
Pay
$80,168.40 – $109,964.21 per year.
