Sr. Project Managers

Our client, a telecommunications company located in Stamford, CT, is seeking a Senior Project Manager for an initial 12-month contract with a high likelihood of extension.

About the role

This highly visible position is tied to a large-scale merger initiative. The Senior Project Manager will work onsite 4 days per week, with one day remote. The role involves managing the full project lifecycle—from project definition through implementation—ensuring alignment to scope, cost, schedule, and quality measures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive detailed project plans, including dependencies and milestones.
• Establish communication strategies with stakeholders and provide day-to-day direction to project resources.
• Ensure effective change management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee readiness for critical milestones tied to initiatives such as WiFi, Internet, and device swaps.
• Maintain alignment across testing, training, communications, and customer operations functions.
• Prepare documentation, status reports, and budgets.
• Manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) items and logs, driving them to closure with minimal oversight.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Project Management experience within large enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to manage the full project lifecycle from definition through implementation.
• Recent hands-on experience creating complex project plans with dependencies and driving milestones.
• Demonstrated experience managing RAID items and logs.
• Strong executive-level communication skills, particularly via email and PowerPoint.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Telecom/cable industry experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, integrations, or large-scale transformation programs.
• PMP, PgMP, or similar certification.

Pay

The expected hourly rate range for this role is $52.00 to $75.00 per hour. The posted range is an estimate; actual compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.

Schedule

Onsite 4 days per week, one day remote.
