Industrial Electric, Inc. is a full-service electrical and systems contractor specializing in industrial, advanced technology, and commercial projects. We provide both design-build and bid/spec electrical contracting services for the industrial, commercial, and pharmaceutical markets, offering turnkey service and installation throughout Indiana.

About the role

We are seeking a Sr. Project Manager to join our team. This full-time, onsite position in Indianapolis, IN, involves managing project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, under budget, and with quality that exceeds expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Project Start-Up:
    • Forecast and analyze construction costs, exposures, and profits.
    • Develop a schedule for all phases of the build.
    • Assist with permits, required due dates, and communicate any impact to the proposed schedule.
    • Develop and implement project-specific processes and procedures.
  • Project Build:
    • In conjunction with the Project Superintendent, lead, direct, and coordinate day-to-day management and construction activities.
    • Manage project costs through ongoing evaluations of labor, material, and equipment.
    • Interface with all company departments to resolve issues.
    • Serve as the liaison between the client, company, subcontractors, and government officials.
    • Ensure all safety measures, procedures, and requirements are met, followed, and practiced.
  • Project Closeout:
    • Ensure substantial completion as defined in the specifications.
    • Assist with the submission of record drawings, maintenance manuals, and warranties to ensure a smooth and successful closeout.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or a related field
  • 7–10+ years of relevant work experience in the electrical industry or a combination of experience and coursework
  • OSHA 30 Certification
