Join CHA Consulting, Inc. as a Sr. Project Manager II on our Traffic & ITS Team in Miami, FL. Lead high-impact traffic engineering and Intelligent Transportation System projects that improve safety, reduce congestion, and enhance mobility for communities.

About the Role

In this client-facing role, you will provide strategic oversight and technical direction for complex Traffic Engineering and ITS projects. You’ll guide teams through planning, design, construction coordination, and implementation while strengthening client relationships and supporting business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full lifecycle project management for Traffic Engineering and ITS projects, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and risk assessment.
  • Prepare and oversee proposals, coordinating with internal teams to develop winning strategies and comprehensive project plans.
  • Oversee contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and project documentation to ensure alignment with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive project financial performance, including revenue forecasting, cash flow management, and profitability.
  • Lead resource planning, subcontractor selection, and project execution strategies in coordination with technical leadership.
  • Facilitate client and internal progress meetings, providing clear updates and ensuring stakeholder alignment.
  • Mentor Project Managers and technical staff to strengthen delivery capabilities and elevate team performance.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, supporting market growth and expanding client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Science, Planning, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 13 years of industry experience, including 10 years of project management experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex transportation, traffic engineering, ITS, or infrastructure projects, budgets, and client relationships in a consulting environment.
  • Proven ability to prepare proposals, project plans, and closeout documentation.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Experience interpreting and managing client contract requirements and coordinating subcontractors.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence teams and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with MS Project, Primavera P6, and Deltek Vision preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or PMP certification preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Pay

Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000. Salary is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and industry standards.
