Sr Project Manager Global Engineering
Your Role
The Project Manager provides leadership and overall responsibility for the definition, organization, and execution of capital investment projects within a CDMO environment. The incumbent manages multiple projects concurrently from Front-End Loading (FEL 1) through to final execution and close-out. This includes managing at least one EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management) relationship to ensure projects are delivered in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner in accordance with cGMP and SHE regulations.
The Regional project manager US is accountable for delivering Siegfried US Capital Project plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing customer briefs, creating execution packages, defining project delivery methods, partnering with internal/external delivery teams and ensuring on time, in scope and at defined cost delivery of US project Portfolio.
Your Profile
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Project Oversight & Execution: Has responsibility for US DS sites project delivery, up to $150m portfolio and around $30-40m annual spend.
- Full Project Lifecycle Management: Develops customer / business ideas to executable packages and has responsibility from feasibility to OQ.
- Delivery Method: Liaises with internal / external teams for most efficient project delivery.
- Budget & Schedule Control: Responsible for the accuracy of project budgets and schedules; identifies scope changes and determines financial/schedule consequences.
- Team Leadership: Leads multi-disciplinary project teams (including internal engineers and external designers) and contributes to the development of their technical skills.
- Reporting & Governance: Familiar and comfortable working in a cross functional business environment. Regulatory Compliance: Ensures all engineering work complies with governmental regulations, Siegfried standards, and Responsible Care principles.
- Stakeholder Communication: Functions as the primary contact for project issues, communicating effectively with Business Segment representatives, customers, and site management.
Education and Experience
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant life sciences discipline is required, or equivalent work experience.
- Certification: Preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent professional certification (e.g., PE License).
- Experience: 8–12 years of extensive experience in a chemical plant or pharmaceutical CDMO environment. Preferred knowledge of CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation) and cGMP/ICH Q7A standards. Proven ability: Demonstrated success managing a capital portfolio of >$50m.
- Technical Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of the pharmaceutical drug substance (API) development process and team-based matrix management. Proficiency in managing capital expenditures, hands-on experience with project management methodologies (FEL1/2/3) and project control tools, ability in defining an EPCm scope and ownership up to selection.
- SUPERVISION: The incumbent works independently with minimum supervision from the direct supervisor and is expected to exercise independent judgment to solve complex problems. They may manage project teams of 20–30 people in a matrix organization.

- Willing to travel to various sites as required for project oversight.

- The anticipated salary for this role will be between $120,000.00 - 160,000.00.
