About the role

Amazon is seeking a Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the execution of successful new build infrastructure and expansion/retrofit projects in our Global Engineering, Maintenance, & Sustainability (GEMS) Organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new and existing programs, successfully delivering difficult projects and goals across multiple organizations
  • Partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones and drive delivery
  • Owns program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate
  • Influence design and development of strategic processes
  • Work with program managers and business leaders to communicate and impact critical business initiatives
  • Develop, implement, and governs the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned program, project, or sub-task
  • Provide accountability while reporting on status, asking for help, and immediately escalating issues and problems as necessary
  • Manage overall project schedule that enables the teams to be successful based upon the project milestones and Go-Live

Requirements

  • Up to 80% nationwide travel and availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling
  • Candidates should either live near or be willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office
  • Relocation assistance may be provided

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prioritization and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Experience with project management software and tools

Pay

Base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

USA, CA, Santa Monica - 115,600.00 - 160,000.00 USD annually

USA, TN, Nashville - 104,100.00 - 155,400.00 USD annually

Schedule

Position includes travel up to 80% (Nationwide).

Travel involves air travel to regional airports and driving to site locations. A valid driver's license is required due to project assignments in areas with limited public transportation and rideshare options.
