Sr. Project Manager - EPC

Job Responsibilities

  • Work directly with EPC customers, their end clients, site contractors, Eaton Sales, Eaton Services, and other project stakeholders to manage fulfillment of equipment and services for all products offered by Eaton to the markets served.
  • Engage in technical, commercial, and logistical (electrical/mechanical) details of major strategic industrial, utility, and commercial project orders.
  • Coordinate internal resources to enable the implementation of the Eaton Business System with Eaton’s equipment manufacturing factories and field services organizations.
  • Improve performance on logistics and financial management for Eaton and the customer.
  • Manage and report financial metrics.
  • Seek to collect and communicate lessons learned on the individual customer projects for communication to other project teams engaged with Eaton products, both with the PMO and the Sales Teams.
  • Seek out and communicate to sales potential opportunities for increasing product utilization within a customer’s electrical system design through a recognition of available Eaton products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 7 years of electrical industry experience
  • Minimum 7 years project management experience
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
  • BS in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
  • 10 years of both electrical industry and Project Management experience (preferred), with focus on the Data Center segment
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Prior Eaton Sales or PMO experience (preferred)
  • Strong application knowledge of datacenter products including those applied to mission critical power systems (PDU’s, RPP’s, STS’s, busway, 3-phase UPS’s, Switchgear, Transformers, IPA’s) (preferred)
  • Experience working with and managing major industrial or utility electrical construction projects (preferred)

Skills

  • Ability to apply project management methodologies and strategies to reduce potential project risk throughout the duration of the project lifecycle
  • Effective Time Management and organizational skills required: Proven successful track record of working in a fast paced complex datacenter environment
  • In-depth knowledge of internal processes from order entry through project closeout, including plant front-end scheduling, engineering / manufacturing process and equipment cycle times
  • Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders and drive action to mutual benefit of both parties ending in order and project success for all involved
  • Strong computer (Advanced Word Processing, Spreadsheet (Excel), ERP systems including SAP ECC/S4, BidManager, etc.) skills
  • Interpersonal, remote and direct in person communication, and customer service skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, and demonstrate ability to take ownership of assignment and customer satisfaction
  • Passionate about and skilled in continuous improvement and organizational advancement
