About the Role
Management of all phases of program and project activities that range from small to large in value and a variety of scopes, including engineering, applied science, procurement, construction, and/or operations. Directs preparation of work plans, supervises project teams, and manages project scope, budget, and schedule.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects through Project Managers, ensuring completion to the client's satisfaction and maximizing financial objectives.
- Oversee all phases of planning and execution for the largest and most complex projects.
- Oversee project safety and quality programs.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and control projects in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
- Supervise project personnel through subordinate leaders.
- Support business development activities and serve as a proposal manager when needed.
- Represent the company to clients and maintain client relationships.
- Manage professional employees and/or supervisors, including business support, technical, or production staff.
- Accountable for managing financial resources and budgets.
- Provide technical guidance to employees and develop processes/procedures to implement functional strategies.
- Apply technical and/or managerial expertise to improve effectiveness and guide employees.
- Anticipate and interpret customer needs to identify solutions.
- Interpret business issues and adapt work priorities accordingly.
- Manage budgets and allocate resources to meet operational objectives.
- Resolve operational, customer, employee, or technical problems impacting effectiveness.
- Develop plans and coordinate resources to meet objectives.
- Explain complex concepts and persuade others to adopt a point of view.
- Manage employee performance through goal setting, ongoing assessment, and coaching.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, and/or industry equivalency.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within a construction environment.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and see.
- Perform repetitive motions.
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
