About the role

The Sr. Project Manager is a strategic leader responsible for driving the successful delivery of large, complex, and cross-functional projects across diverse technologies and business domains. This role requires exceptional leadership to navigate ambiguity, align stakeholders, and maintain momentum in dynamic environments. The Sr. Project Manager ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while managing multiple initiatives simultaneously. They excel at identifying and mitigating risks, communicating project health, and ensuring alignment with broader business goals. This role also serves as a mentor and change agent, improving delivery practices and enabling organizational growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, strategic projects with high complexity, cross-functional impact, and visibility across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including task dependencies, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Program Managers to ensure project alignment within broader program goals, portfolio priorities, and strategic initiatives.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and prioritize risks; develop and implement robust mitigation strategies to minimize impact and ensure project continuity.
  • Navigate ambiguity and evolving requirements by applying sound judgment, adaptability, and strategic foresight to keep projects on track.
  • Partner with department leads, product managers, and functional stakeholders to resolve major challenges and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Provide clear, concise, and actionable project updates to senior leadership, influencing strategic decisions and organizational direction.
  • Monitor and manage project performance against scope, schedule, and budget; escalate issues appropriately and drive resolution through effective governance.
  • Oversee project financials, including budget planning, expense tracking, and variance analysis to ensure fiscal accountability.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and accessible; address gaps in ownership or accountability to maintain momentum.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to overcome obstacles and drive projects toward successful delivery.
  • Mentor and guide other project managers, sharing best practices, tools, and techniques to elevate project management maturity across the organization.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and methodologies at both the project and portfolio level.
  • Champion a culture of transparency, accountability, and results-driven execution across project teams.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of project management experience.
  • 3 or more years of experience within biotech, molecular diagnostics, medical device, or a similarly regulated life sciences industry.
  • 3 or more years of experience leading complex, cross-functional product and software development projects.
  • 3 or more years of experience managing projects across multiple stages of the product development lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, scientific, engineering, business, or related discipline (preferred).
  • PMP certification (preferred).
  • 2 or more years of experience supporting or leading FDA-regulated product development (preferred).
  • Familiarity with 510(k), PMA, or comparable regulatory pathways.
  • Ability to partner with program, portfolio, and functional leadership to support project prioritization, resource planning, risk management, and decision-making.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 1st Shift

Pay

$125,000 - $135,000 per year. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
