About the role
The Senior Project Manager at Greenberry Industrial Construction is responsible for independently managing and successfully executing industrial fabrication and steel-scope projects ranging from $1 million to $200 million. This role provides full lifecycle leadership across planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout while serving as the primary customer interface.
Responsibilities
- Independently lead and manage multimillion-dollar industrial fabrication projects from contract award through final closeout.
- Direct and coordinate structural steel, piping, and module fabrication activities, ensuring alignment with engineering, procurement, and construction requirements.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, and budgets covering fabrication, delivery, and installation phases.
- Ensure adherence to scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate closely with fabrication shop management, field erection teams, engineering, procurement, and logistics.
- Proactively identify and mitigate fabrication, material, and execution risks impacting cost or schedule.
- Oversee fabrication planning and production sequencing for structural steel, pipe spools, and modular assemblies.
- Maintain fabrication progress, production efficiencies, and quality metrics to ensure on-time delivery.
- Interface with shop leadership to resolve capacity constraints, sequencing conflicts, and priority changes.
- Ensure fabrication activities comply with drawings, specifications, codes, and client requirements.
- Support resolution of fabrication nonconformances, rework, and scope changes.
- Develop, manage, and forecast project budgets with a focus on margin protection and fabrication cost control.
- Track labor hours, material costs, and productivity across fabrication and field scopes.
- Monitor project financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead change management processes, including estimating, pricing, negotiation, and execution of change orders related to fabrication scope.
- Review and administer contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements.
- Lead, mentor, and support Project Managers, Project Engineers, and fabrication-focused project staff.
- Establish clear expectations and accountability across project, fabrication, and field teams.
- Promote collaboration between fabrication shops, engineering, and construction to drive efficient execution.
- Support development and implementation of standardized fabrication and project management best practices.
- Identify project and fabrication risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Enforce compliance with Greenberry safety policies and OSHA regulations across shop and field environments.
- Partner with fabrication and site teams to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and client safety requirements.
- Serve as the senior point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and key stakeholders.
- Communicate fabrication and project status, risks, and mitigation plans clearly and proactively.
- Resolve issues efficiently to maintain client confidence and long-term relationships.
- Support client retention and business development through successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of progressive project management experience in industrial construction or fabrication environments.
- Demonstrated success managing large, complex, multimillion-dollar projects involving structural steel and piping fabrication.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, shop operations, and field installation interfaces.
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Procore, Trimble, MS Project, or similar.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of construction contracts, cost control, scheduling, and risk management.
- Experience overseeing modular fabrication.
- Experience leading $50M+ projects or managing multiple concurrent large-scale fabrication efforts.
- Proven ability to work closely with fabrication shop operations and field installation teams.

Pay
$120,000 – $160,000 DOE
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional travel.
