Sr. Project Manager

About the role

Oversee all aspects of project delivery—scope, budget, schedule, and client relationships—while managing risks and financial performance. Act as a “seller/doer” by developing client work and leading marketing plans. Mentor project managers, set team vision, and ensure quality control and compliance. Play a key role in contract interpretation and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, budget, schedule, and client relationships for complex energy projects
• Develop client work and lead marketing plan development for target market areas
• Lead and mentor other project managers, setting vision and strategy for the team
• Prepare proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and closeout documents
• Track and oversee multiple projects, ensuring quality control and compliance with company standards
• Interpret client contracts and manage relationships to meet all client needs
• Oversee project accounting processes and ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required); Master’s degree (preferred)
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including 8 years in project management
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
• Expert knowledge of engineering discipline and best practices
• Advanced proficiency with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation) and Microsoft Office
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
• Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6, and Deltek Vision (preferred)
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and prepare project documentation
• Ability to travel as needed

Pay

Salary Range: $150,000 - $165,000. Salary is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and industry standards.
