Job Overview
Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer Manager to join our team. This position will drive the development and execution of strategic capital projects for PBV.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline required.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Five (5) or more years of capital engineering project-based experience required.
- Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience is a plus.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in the food and beverage or similar CPG industry required.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Six Sigma certificate preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required and must be able to meet PBV driving qualifications.
- Strong knowledge management, process, and communication skills.
- Ability to perform statistical analysis is a plus.
- Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD is a plus.
- Understanding of the basics of finance, product cost accounting, and food and beverage manufacturing.
- Understanding and ability to apply theory of constraints and v-curve theory in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
- Knowledge of primary packaging equipment and materials/processes (fillers, plastics, aluminum, bottles, cans, caps/closures), secondary/tertiary packaging equipment (cartoners, case packers, palletizers), and plant infrastructure and manufacturing utility support systems (Ammonia cooling, low/high pressure air, water treatment systems, etc.) required.
- Experience with technologies dealing with CSDs, juices, teas, and pasteurization highly preferred.
- Strong collaboration and team-building skills to effectively lead cross-functional project teams.
- Assertive, self-motivated, and result-oriented in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Strong computer skills including CAD, MS Project, and MS365 Suite, SAP is a plus.
- Willingness to work weekends or off-hours as necessary, and travel up to 40% per year, both nationally and internationally.
