Key Job Responsibilities
- Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day project execution, including cost control, schedule management, and document coordination
- Manage and track submittals, RFIs, change requests, and associated logs to ensure timely resolution
- Support project buyout, subcontract administration, and procurement activities
- Aid in preparation and maintenance of project schedules, including short-interval planning and look-ahead schedules
- Maintain oversight of project costs, support forecasting, and assist with quantity tracking and cost reporting
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and design professionals to support construction activities and resolve field issues
- Participate in project meetings, prepare meeting agendas/minutes, and distribute follow-up documentation
- Support implementation of project quality control processes and documentation requirements
- Assist with safety planning, compliance tracking, and site safety initiatives
- Utilize project management and technology platforms (Procore, Bluebeam, scheduling software, etc.) to support project execution
- Provide guidance and mentoring to Project Engineers or interns as assigned
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned efforts
Required Knowledge, Education, Experience, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 3–6+ years of commercial construction experience in a Project Engineer role or similar capacity
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, drawing interpretation, and project controls
- Proficiency with construction technology platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
- Willingness to work from the Evansville, IN project site with occasional travel as required
