Sr Project Developer

About the role

The Sr Project Developer supports all development and construction activities associated with new generation projects. They oversee site construction activities, perform various calculations and analyses, and coordinate with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support activities for self-developed projects and due diligence efforts
• Oversight of contractor performance relative to schedule, quality, safety and compliance
• Perform various calculations and analysis supporting the development and construction of new wind generation projects
• Support contract negotiation efforts for asset purchase agreements, balance of plant contracts, and major equipment procurement contracts
• Monitor and report on performance related to safety, compliance, budget, schedule and quality for all site development and construction activity
• Participate in meetings with developers, consultants, contractors, inspectors, landowners and other stakeholders in site development and construction activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physical sciences, math, finance, accounting or related field or equivalent work experience
• Willingness to travel to various sites; approximately 50% of job duties will be performed at development or construction sites
• Six or more years of operations, construction, development or renewable industry related experience; with two years in a senior technical/leadership role preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills
• Effective interpersonal skills and leadership abilities
• Effective organization, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Planning and budgeting skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues, tasks and projects concurrently

• Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned

Skills

• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Experience with renewable energy projects
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of renewable energy regulations and compliance

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time position with flexible working hours to accommodate project needs.
