About the Role

SNC’s ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, specializing in manned and unmanned aircraft systems integration. The team delivers end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications, and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities, including design, integration, test, certification, training, and logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to meet customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements, consistently exceeding expectations with a track record of on-time and on-budget deliveries.

Join the SNC-led Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) team to contribute to modernizing the next-generation SAOC aircraft, a critical asset trusted by the President, Secretary of Defense, and Chairs of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for command, control, and communication during national emergencies. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
  • Break projects into actionable tasks and set timeframes.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to facilitate project execution and assign tasks to internal teams.
  • Assist with schedule management and ensure client needs are met as projects evolve.
  • Help prepare budgets and analyze risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor project progress and address issues through proper communication and escalation.
  • Act as a point of contact and communicate project status to all stakeholders.
  • Work with the Program Manager to remove roadblocks.
  • Use tools to monitor and control performance, plans, and expenditures.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and status reports.
  • Liaise with stakeholders in Planning, Operations, SCPM, Planning, and Procurement to facilitate project execution and assign tasks.
  • Assess and monitor turnaround time for procurements to ensure accurate backdates are fed into the schedule for parts demand deliverables/BOMs.
  • Monitor parts demand/BOM release and procurement completion progress; address issues or bottlenecks through proper communication and escalation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 6+ years of experience in a related field (higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience).
  • Expert understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Fundamental MS Office skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and demonstrate ownership of tasks, organization skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and client-facing teamwork skills.
  • Ability to parse large data sets into critical items requiring tactical intervention.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to rally cross-functional teams in issue resolution discussions.
  • Agility and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with program execution and results-driven mindset.
  • Self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Soft skills and business sense.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) over non-labor scope or demonstrated experience managing schedule/budget for discrete scope.
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry, particularly in commercial aircraft and/or materials acquisition.
  • Advanced certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PgMP).
  • Prior experience with:
    • Development of proposals, including administrative tasks.
    • Data entry into Project Management (PM) systems.
    • Collaborating with internal leadership, vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders (e.g., IPT leads, CAMs, Tech Leads, Project Administrators).
    • Conflict resolution, especially related to resource assignments.
    • Monitoring project progress against baseline schedules and facilitating process improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Strong hand/finger dexterity for typing and document handling.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
